The process of obtaining Italian dual citizenship can be lengthy and confusing – but it doesn’t have to be! This lecture aims to elucidate the process of dual citizenship jure sanguinis for those of Italian descent. The benefits of dual citizenship will be discussed, as well as how to determine eligibility. How and where to obtain the documents needed, both from Italy and America, the correction of vital records process, and the proper seals necessary for the application will all be covered. Finally, making and preparing for the appointment will be discussed.
